Enter dark room

Hello, how are you?

I’m good, pleased to meet you

now see my smile;

enter dark room.

You’re on the road,

remember, it isn’t home,

please behave,

please retain;

enter dark room.

It’s cold, in the rain,

let’s say it’s a beautiful day;

enter dark room.

Today I woke up pushed against the wall,

the dark room has spilled out to my home,

in a forest too deep to see the light through

from the eager seeds buried in the gloom.

Do you recognise now?

now that the shadows are loose,

as good as new.

I might as well not have smiled that day we met.
