Verse

Closure

It will come in the everyday,

in the slow turns,

in the nonsense,

in the mindless hours where eyes drown in the ocean;

It will steal you away from the small talk and conversation

– for a moment enlightened;

It will float in through your pores and settle in

heavy, drowsy, dim;

It will leave you astray, alone, awake;

It will come in scattered diamonds glimmering in the desert

– invisible up close, blinding from afar;

It will come unremarkable, mundane

between everything great,

unhurried, indifferent, unkind, uncelebrated,

until one day when it aligns with all the truth in your sight,

it will come-

Closure.
