Verse

Leave out truth

Are you watering down

the leftovers of our today?

washing away my ugly debris

off your face?

-in the sounds of clinking glasses,

within living conversations,

on the shores of the bright-light island.

Are you shaking off my dead embrace?

are you swimming back up the depths I dragged you under?

-the heavy, blue beast in me wonders.
